Montigny Baseball/Softball - Cougars March 14–15, 2026
The training camp
Over the two training days of March 12 and 13, 20 players attended for more than 8.5 hours of practice, welcoming our new members and setting up our technical strategies in partnership with our friends from Satory Baseball.
They were also coached by our mental trainer, Franeck, who ran a visualization exercise focused on batting. They also benefited from the support, care and advice of Max, our physiotherapist, present throughout the gathering.
The tournament
After these two intensive days, we tackled the Cougars' Saint Patrick's tournament with determination.
Day one ended with two wins, earned in two well-controlled back-to-back games of 1h45 each. Sunday morning's game was won while notably fielding our new members at key positions.
We therefore approached the final against the home team with confidence. A final won thanks to controlled play, team chemistry acquired very quickly and great success at bat.
A rising level
The Blue Roosters' level keeps improving gathering after gathering. The difficulty tied to our jobs is managing to mobilize our players, especially during electoral and high-tension periods. But most of them showed up: out of the 33 active members of our national association, 21 players attended this gathering.
Our support members were also there: photographers, videographers, families and friends of the players.
This first gathering under the FSPN banner is a genuine success.
Preparing for the USA
It also served to field the team that will travel to the USA in two months to meet our counterparts from New York and Boston. A very good preparation weekend for the Roosters.
Thanks to the Montigny Cougars for organizing this friendly tournament, and to the teams we played for their sportsmanship, their fighting spirit and their always warm welcome.
